At the conclusion of the year, our committee will see several of its members move on after serving significant time volunteering for our club over the years. It is now time for some new people with new ideas and an interest in keeping this great club alive to step up and take an active role in NNBNC; may it be for the benefit of themselves as players or for the benefit of their daughters. It takes a lot of people to run NNBNC, and many hands make light work. The current committee all volunteered with no relevant experience and all of our coaches started with very little knowledge of the game, but each of them did so for one reason and one reason only; to give their own kids the benefit of the great experiences that a team sport like netball can provide. Don’t think you can’t contribute; everyone has something valuable to give. The most valuable thing you can contribute is your time, but yours is no more valuable than anyone else’s so don’t just leave it to someone else because you are too busy.
If you think you would be interested in helping out by joining the committee for a period of time in the near future or by becoming a coach or an umpire or even something else you think may be helpful, please approach the President, Rachel Hagedoorn, yours or your daughter’s coach or any other member of the current committee for information.
